About

My passion is writing and producing – from television and video content to public relations and marketing collateral. Tour my demo reel for video samples and my portfolio for print and web examples.

  • Television and Video: Producing content for live network television broadcasts and two syndicated series, originating a government access channel and anchoring local news and weather broadcasts.
  • Marketing writing: Health and equity, economic development and industry.
  • Public Relations and Marketing Consultant: Crisis PR trainer for business and industry and full-service account management.

I was honored by the Savannah Technical College Foundation as a Savannah Community Star in 2021 for my work with Carriage Trade Public Relations. The Department of Literature at Georgia Southern University also profiled my career in its opening alumni interview of the 2020-2021 academic year. It was at GSU’s Armstrong campus that my professional course took flight while I earned a degree in English.

Starting out as a part-time TV production crew member at WSAV TV in Savannah during my junior year at Armstrong, I accepted a full-time position in production the following year. A few years later, WSAV asked me to join its news department as the morning anchor. That would lead to a stint as WSAV’s weekend anchor and producer, and I was honored to be hand-picked and mentored by the late great “Cap’n Sandy” Joe Cox to serve as weekend weather anchor.

I would put my TV expertise to work a few years later as the City of Savannah’s first Cable Access coordinator, where I originated, developed and managed the local government access channel and served as the City’s chief photographer. As a FEMA-certified advanced publication information officer, I worked alongside City/County leaders in numerous joint emergency and disaster response operations.

After moving to Atlanta in 1998, I wrote for the Emmy-nominated “Jim Fowler’s Life in the Wild” television series and then served as the lead video producer for O’Neill Communications, an Atlanta-based marketing agency, where I also managed national accounts. More recently, I wrote live content for the Weather Channel and contributed as a researcher and writer on “Mixing Oil and Water,” a 100th-anniversary book celebrating the history of Savannah-headquartered Colonial Group. Since 2014, I have worked with Savannah-based Carriage Trade PR’s Visibility Team and served clients in marketing, public relations and the film industry in Atlanta and Savannah.
